The organization was first class, and the venues were terrific. All of our group thoroughly enjoyed the few days, and we particularly enjoyed meeting with members of other choirs. We struck up a particular relationship with the two choirs from Norway, who were staying in our hotel. It was also great to see the very high standard of the various choirs, and goes to show what we should be aiming to achieve......if we live long enough!!
„THE CREATION“
A Sing Along Concert of the World Festival Singers
International Sing Along Concerts are the artistic highlight of the most active part of the international choral scene. The project World Festival Singers started in 2015 and unites about 1.400 singers from all continents in spectacular performances of some of the masterpieces of the choral symphonic literature.
These last few years, Sing Along Projects have been put on stage at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, in Munich, Leipzig and Hamburg as well as internationally, in May 2014, at the National Concert Hall in Budapest and, in May 2016, at the Konzerthaus Wien.
In 2017 singers from all over the World are invited to Riga for a distinguished performance of Joseph Haydn's "The Creation" in Riga Dome Cathedral. The project is part of the European Choir Games 2017 - a very special recognition of the international Sing Along tradition.
