Prelude to the Deutsche Chormeisterschaft 2021 to be postponed

Gala Concert on November 8 will be made up for at a later date

COVID-19

On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, the federal and state governments in Germany adopted far-reaching measures to curb the rising numbers of COVID-19 infections, which are severely restricting public life. Entertainment events will be banned nationwide.

For this reason, the Gala Concert of the Deutsche Chormeisterschaft scheduled for Sunday, November 8, unfortunately cannot take place. We regret this very much, but of course we see the necessity to act in solidarity for the benefit of the community in this crisis. We are postponing the prelude concert of the Deutsche Chormeisterschaft and will make up for it as soon as we are allowed to and all participants can plan ahead.

Even if it may not be possible to sing together on stage this year, the music will not lose its unifying and courageous power. The community of the choir and the power of the music will remain with us and lead us into the coming year with confidence. These difficult months will be over and the time will come again when we can make music together, listen to concerts and perform on stage together. We look to the future with confidence and are now dedicating our energies to the further planning of the Deutsche Chormeisterschaft 2021. We are very pleased to welcome the German choral scene from November 5-7, 2021 to Koblenz, also in the name of Mayor David Langner and our partners in the city!
