Zwickau 2018: The Competition Results

iSing Silicon Valley Girlchoir from the USA returns home with the Robert Schumann Choir Prize 2018

Int. Robert Schumann Choir Competition

„For each other – together – side by side do not work alone“, the German composer Robert Schumann once mentioned. And this statement also describes the core of the International Robert Schumann Choir Competition in Zwickau, which ended today.

Four days full of emotions, new impressions and lasting memories came to an end with a last highlight, the Award Ceremony for each category and the tribute to the winning choir of the Robert Schumann Choir Prize 2018.

17 choirs from 11 nations formed a unique international choir community during this festival and competition, and its distinctive sound characteristics attracted visitors from near and far from June 6-10, 2018 to the home town of Robert Schumann.

During the Awards Ceremony the achievements of the respective choirs and especially the Category Winners were honored:

At the final concert the nominated choirs entered the stage of the Konzert- and Ballhaus “Neue Welt” one last time on Saturday in order to compete for the Robert Schumann Choir Prize 2018:

iSing Silicon Valley Girlchoir convinced the jury and returns home to the USA with their well-deserved award.
