These international choral experts will assess your performances

Canta al mar - Festival Coral Internacional

From October 19-23, 2016 choirs from all over the word will come to Calella/Barcelona and will compete in different competition categories at Canta al mar. In order to assess the performances of the international choirs professionally, also this year a team of renowned choral experts is aboard the event.

Oscar Boada is already a familiar face. The Spanish conductor of the Children’s Choir "Cor Vivaldi of Barcelona" was jury member during the 3th Canta al mar festival in 2014 and he has really enjoyed his work as juror at the Costa del Maresme. "I do not exaggerate claiming that these days have been a massage for my soul and a source of inspiration." He not only impressed the choirs as juror, but also at the traditional Gala Concert "Music and Light" in Calella 2014 he enchanted the audience together with his choir.

New members of the jury in Calella are Katie Thomas from Great Britain, Bernard Krüger from South Africa and Tommyanto Kandisaputra from Indonesia. All of them are prominent personalities in the international choral scene and have been working with INTERKULTUR for many years.

Of course Albert Deprius, our Artistic Director of the festival in Spain and also a jury member should be mentioned. Since its first edition in 2012 he accompanies the festival with great commitment and passion.

In addition to the competitions INTERKULTUR offers Evaluation Performances with the jury for the singers from near and far to receive valuables tips and advices for their performances.

All choirs interested in participating in the 5th Canta al mar – Festival Coral Internacional can register until May 23.

All information about participation can be found on the event’s website.
