Pssst….you want to hear some insider information about the Grand Prix of Nations Gothenburg 2019 & 4th European Choir Games? So read on, there’s something brand new to know about the concert program of the event:
Look forward to a fantastic Opening Concert on August 3, 2019 in Partille Arena: A Regional Mass Choir consisting of all-Swedish choirs and singers will welcome the international participants and fire them up with some of ABBA’ most famous songs. They will be supported by Sweden’s famous and Grammy nominated Bohuslän Big Band: Get a glimpse here to see them performing “Thank you for the music” together with the European jazz legend Nils Landgren.
A top-notch choir concert is waiting for you on Monday, August 5: Some of the most interesting choirs from Gothenburg and the region will perform a wonderful concert featuring the greatest composers from Scandinavia. This concert will show you some of the most different and challenging music from the choral world.
On Wednesday, August 7 Gothenburg says “Welcome!” to the world: Choirs, musicians, orchestras from the host city and from other places in Sweden will showcase a magnificent choral tapestry. You will feel, see, enjoy and also sing together with great choirs and artists. The second part of the concert program will feature a special musical co-operation between Sweden and China – sounds like a unique opportunity to experience the best of two worlds on one stage!
When on August 10 – the last day of the Grand Prix of Nations & European Choir Games – all participants come together for a big farewell in Partille Arena again, a massive Festival Stage Choir will turn the hall in one big party: The Closing Concert will be all about Musical, just perfect to sing, dance and celebrate along with people from all over and make memories for a life-time!
