Chinese/Swedish Friendship and Parade of Nations are waiting for us
Let’s welcome new choirs to the second part of the Grand Prix of Nations Gothenburg 2019 & 4. European Choir Games today! New competitions in new categories will take place and new choirs and singers will join in this outstanding choral festivity!
10:30-16:30 The Bethlehemskyrkan hosts the event “World Choir Events in the Belt and Road” – China/Sweden – Scandinavia Day, where China presents its choral culture with live performances of Swedish and Chinese choirs, a discussion about the Chinese choral culture and other aspects regarding China and choir music.
17:30 The traditional Parade of Nations starting at the Universitetsplatsen represents one of the highlights of the event: Participating choirs from all parts of the world come together and parade through the city center of Gothenburg, singing, spreading good vibes, creating unique atmosphere and presenting themselves to guests, visitors and locals alike – come and choose your favourite choir!
18:30 The Kungstorget Open Air Stage is the place for the special concert themed “Gothenburg welcomes the World”. The host city introduces itself to its guests from 46 nations and presents the special urban highlights and the unique Swedish “livsglädje”.
