Golden, Silver and Bronze Diplomas at the Johannes Brahms Choir Festival and Competition

Johannes Brahms Int. Choir Festival & Competition

After spectacular contests and great performances on the stages in and around Wernigerode, the best nine choirs of the Johannes Brahms Choir Competition met on the last day of the event for the choral showdown - the final Grand Prize Competition: Senza Rigore Chamber Choir from Poland under the direction of Jolanta Szybalska‐Matczak convinced the jury for the Grand Prize Competition and was announced the Winner of the Johannes Brahms Choir Prize 2019 during the Awards Ceremony on the Wernigerode market square. Congratulations!

But not only the Choir Award winners had good reason to celebrate: All in all, 10 Category Winners embraced each other when the results were announced and each of them took a Golden Diploma back home to their home countries in recognition of their elaborate rehearsal work.

Additionally the UiTM Women's Chorale was awarded a Special Prize for the outstanding stage show with the piece „Ikimilikiliklik“. The Hngzyang na Matui & Nahuy (The children's choir of Jiaxing elementary school) was also awarded a Special Prize for the outstanding performance of the piece "Tminun (Atayal Weaving Song)". 

Two Conductor's Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Angelina Au (Music Office Youth Choir, China/Hong Kong SAR) and Mrs. An Alen (Villanella, Belgium).
