Premiere for the male ensemble Voice Male
Four young singers compete in an international competition for the first time
The young male ensemble “Voice Male” from Heidenheim in Germany has just been founded last fall. One year later already they will enter the international competition stage for the first time and travel to Grado to join “Isola del Sole – International Choir Competition & Festival” from September 29 to October 2, 2016. They will certainly compete in front of the international expert panel in category B2 – Male choirs.
Each of the four young singers has long-time experience in choral singing. Their repertoire not only includes classical works. They also perform rock and pop pieces, which they mostly compose and arrange on their own. Would like an example? Here they perform “Mad World” by Gary Jules, arranged by their 2nd bass singer Johannes Schmelz (*1995):
Despite the ensemble’s young age in every respect the four guys already were part of the film production for “Breslau ‘45” and recorded parts of the soundtrack.
We wish Voice Male great success at their first international choir competition in Grado! Do you want to join them? Registration is still possible until May 9, 2016. More information can be found on the event website. Ask for rates and prices here.
