Swedish Choral Festival returns with prominent participants

Helsingborgs Körfestival

Just like ABBA enters the stage again this year, so does the Helsingborgs Körfestival 2018. In 2004 the first edition of the premiered in the city located in the Öresund region. Now the event comes alive again for a revival of the vibrant choral get-together - fittingly in the city whose name could be an international translation for “The whole city sings!” (as Hel = Swedish for whole, Sing = English, Borg = Icelandic for city).

This multilingual translation also reflects in the composition of the participants: 20 choirs from 9 nations will overwhelm their audience with unique performances there and also put their musical skills to the test. Additionally the famous VOCES8 a cappella group from Great Britain, the Swedish male a cappella sextet Vocal Six and the Swedish female vocal group Ayla will give concerts and hold workshops.
