Men’s Choir Germania Freiendiez

Only a few more days and the time has come: 46 national choirs will competition at the Chorfest Watzenborn-Steinberg. The competitions will take place in eighth different categories on Saturday June 18th. At the official award ceremony on Saturday evening the competition results will be announced and the winners of the categories will be chosen by the jury.
One of the potential winners is the Men’s Choir Germania Freiendiez. The choir was founded in 1862 in Freiendiez, a small village located between Cologne and Frankfurt on the Main near Limburg on the Lahn. The traditional choir is directed by INTERKULTUR council member Jürgen Faßbender.
In 2012 the Men’s Choir Germania Freiendiez celebrated its 150th anniversary. On this occasion the choir created an anniversary film, which we would like to share with you. Have fun while watching!
