Gentlemen Singers

International guest in Pohlheim

The Gentlemen Singers join the Chorfest in INTERKULTUR's home country Hesse

Chorfest Watzenborn-Steinberg

On the occasion of the Chorfest Watzenborn-Steinberg, which is going to be held from June 17-19, 2016 in Pohlheim near Frankfurt Main, we warmly welcome three international choral guests, which will make the festival more colorful. One of these special guests is the Vocal Ensemble Gentlemen Singers from the Czech Republic.

The ensemble from Hradec Králové is the only professional male octet of its kind in the Czech Republic. The Gentlemen Singers have won several international competitions and are frequent guests of prestigious festivals from the USA to South Korea. Since its foundation in 2003 the octet has given appr. 500 concerts in twenty-one countries on four continents and has released six own well-acclaimed CDs.

The singers also organize the annual festival "Sborové slavnosti • Czech Choir Festival • Hradec Králové". Its main goals are to promote the current choir scene and to spread Czech music outside the Czech Republic thanks to participating choirs from the whole world.

An integral part of Gentlemen Singers' work consists of further education such as organizing various workshops and masterclasses focusing on both individuals and choirs.

On the occasion of the festival in Hesse the Ensemble is going to be part of the Opening Concert of the Chorfest and will join the Choir Party and the Workshop with the artistic director Fred Sjöberg.

More information about the Chorfest Watzenborn-Steinberg can be found on our website or on Facebook.
