Common Touch

Six voices in Sochi

A happy welcome the participants of the World Choir Games 2016 in Sochi

INTERKULTUR is pleased to introduce some choirs, which will attend the biggest choral event worldwide: The World Choir Games in Sochi 2016.

The next choir, which INTERKULTUR will introduce, comes from Russia too. With only six singers the choir belongs to the smallest Russian group of the currently registered choirs and will compete in the category Vocal Ensembles.

A happy welcome to six talented singers from Russia!

"The vocal sextet "Common Touch" / «Чувство Локтя» was formed in July 2011 at the intersection of the intellectual and artistic communities of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

From the beginning to the present day, the members of the vocal ensemble — mathematicians, chemists, linguists and economists, people of different musical views and preferences — were united by the attitude to performing music. Balancing between immense powers of academic arranging and respect to the author’s creation, consciously leaving aside modern pop industry features and techniques of sound processing, the band strives to create the unique solution to each piece in its repertoire.

From the first year of creative activity Common Touch has performed at various chamber stages of Moscow, presenting arrangements of popular music and instrumental classics.

Since 2015 the ensemble has been involved in the production of Purcell’s opera "Dido and Aeneas" by the Opera Studio of Lomonosov Moscow State University as a chamber choir.

The band’s fifth year of activity results in participation in the IX World Choir Games (Sochi 2016)."
