In Riga it’s not all about competition
2017 is the year of the European Choir Games. How to become the European Choir Champion or Winner of the Grand Prix of Nations in Riga we’ve already explained here. But it’s not all about competition in Riga 2017.
Participation is also possible for those who just like to scent the air of an international choral festival without being evaluated directly. The Grand Prix of Nations & European Choir Games are also an event for choirs that don’t want to participate in the competition and offers to those groups the opportunity of an Evaluation Performance in front of three choral experts from the international panel of jurors.
To those who further would like to sing in concerts without the stress of competition should consider registering for a Friendship Concert. International choirs meet at place in Riga and its surroundings to perform a varied program from their repertoire. These concerts present a live experience of choral music from all corners of the world for everyone.
One of the artistic highlights is further the Festival Stage Choir Project. Following joint rehearsals on site the participating choirs will perform a selection of traditional and choral symphonic works during the Closing Concert.
