1. Compete at Your Level

The African Asia Pacific Choir Games & Grand Prix of Nations is designed to accommodate choirs with various levels of experience and ambition. If you want to compete and present yourselves to an international panel of adjudicators, you can choose from three different levels of competition:

Open Competition: In the spirit of „Participation is the highest honor“, choirs from all over the world, regardless of their present level of achievement, have the opportunity to participate here to gather valuable experience in international competition. This level of competition is open to everyone.

Champions Competition: This competition level is open to choirs from Africa and the Asia Pacific region that already gained international competitive experience and/or comparable credentials. If you apply for this level, the final decision on your participation will be made by the Artistic Committee.

Grand Prix of Nations: The Grand Prix of Nations is open to choirs from all over the world that have corresponding international competitive experience and that have proven their abilities in international choral competitions in the past. Again, participation is by decision of the Artistic Committee.

Each level of competition provides the opportunity to perform for a distinguished panel of international judges, gain insightful feedback, and compete for Medals and Diplomas. Choirs can qualify from one competition level to the next, offering the chance to sing again and elevate their performance throughout the event.

2. Receive Professional Feedback and Coaching

If you choose not to be placed in competition but seek to be part of the international experience of the event, you can take advantage of the invaluable Evaluation Performance opportunity, where your choir will perform in front of an international jury without the pressures of competition. This session allows you to receive detailed feedback from a panel of international choral experts, helping your choir improve and refine its skills.

Or do you want more personalized attention? Individual Coachings provide one-on-one sessions for choirs with top choral experts on a piece of own choice. All participating choirs, whether taking part in the competitions or not, are given the opportunity to join such an Individual Coaching with their choir.

3. Build New Friendships Through Music

One of the most enriching aspects of the African Asia Pacific Choir Games is the chance to perform in Friendship Concerts. These concerts take place across Mauritius, allowing you to share your music with fellow choirs from diverse cultures and regions. Beyond just performing, you’ll engage in meaningful exchanges, building international friendships that transcend borders.

4. Take the Stage with the Festival Choir

As artistic highlight of the event a festive performance of a selection of traditional and international choral symphonic pieces will be performed at the Closing Concert. You have the unique chance to join the Festival Stage Choir, which brings together selected international choirs for a captivating performance at the event’s closing event. The experience to sing alongside hundreds of other voices from around the world, experiencing music of all continents together, will have a lifetime impact on everybody.
