INTERKULTUR on the way to the regional ACDA Division Conferences

Numerous exhibitors, lectures and concerts unite the international choral community

American Choral Directors Association

In spring 2016 the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) organizes seven different conferences, where ACDA members, conductors, choral music experts and singers will come together in different regions of the USA – and INTERKULTUR, being the organizer of international choir competitions and partner of the ACDA, will be on board as well.

The first agenda highlight for INTERKULTUR will be the "ACDA Western Division Conference", which takes place from February 24-27, 2016 in Pasadena, California. Pasadena is known for its annual "Tournament of Roses Parade", California's biggest parade.

Apart from about 40 exhibitors and numerous lectures dealing with choir singing, voice formation, styles of music, motion in a choir etc. the participants of the regional conference are also being offered first-class choral music. Under the direction of the three renowned conductors Francisco Núñez, Maria Guinand, and Judith Herrington, three young choirs, that have already been selected, will perform at the Grand Civic Auditorium, an outstanding center for social and cultural events in Pasadena.

Further highlights in Pasadena will be concerts with top class ensembles: The a cappella ensemble "VOCES8", – which also offers top-class workshops at the event ON STAGE Frankfurt, – the Grammy-winning chamber choir "Conspirare", the "Pacific Chorale" as well as the vocal project "Roomful of Teeth".

After the regional conference in Pasadena further conferences in Kansas, Seattle and Chattanooga will follow. The INTERKULTUR team is not only looking forward to the professional impulses that will be conveyed during the conferences, but also to a reunion with INTERKULTUR partners from all parts of the world.

Up-to-date information about the tour through America will be published at Facebook or the newsroom.
