Setting up a new choral tradition in Greece
Kalamata and Corfu welcome singers from all over the world again
Greece – a birthplace of culture and a nation of hospitality, a country that is known for its beautiful beaches and delicious local dishes. The combination of all these attributes makes it a perfect host for choirs from all over the world.
Reason enough to continue the choral activities INTERKULTUR as launched here in 2015 and 2016: The international choir competitions and festivals in Kalamata and Corfu will carry on and invite singers for a second time each.
The Kalamata International Choir Competition & Festival will happen from October 11-15, 2017. Its narrow lanes, a historic old town and the 12th century Apostles church give a great setting to the event and the competition part offers categories for different levels of difficulty, casts and musical genres – the festival combines an easy going gathering of different nations with the wonderful setting of South East Europe.
Early Bird Deadline for the Kalamata International Choir Competition & Festival ends on March 6. Further information can be found at the official event website.
