Second Chance to join Choir Festival in Wernigerode

Registration is still possible until March 13

Johannes Brahms Int. Choir Festival & Competition

The 10th jubilee event of the International Johannes Brahms Choir Festival & Competition will be an event not to miss in the INTERKULTUR choral summer 2017.

As a reminder, these are the highlights of the anniversary event:

Europe’s most colorful choir festival: Wernigerode is also known as the „colorful city in the Harz“; a motto, which is also reflected in our festival. The focus of the event is traditionally international Folklore and the parade of choirs becomes a real showcase of cultures in the city.

Home Opener: The renowned and internationally successful Kammerchor Wernigerode will perform at the festive Opening Concert on July 5.

A cappella at its best: The famous vocal ensemble amarcord will perform the festival’s Anniversary Concert on July 6 and raises high expectations, since a unique sound, breath-taking homogeneity, a reliable sense of musical style and loads of charm and esprit are the special trademarks of amarcord.

Wernigerode is worth a visit: Wernigerode is characterized by its typical small houses and narrow streets – a jewel of German half-timbering architecture. It will surround the participants during the open air Opening and Awards Ceremonies on the Market Square.

Giving a voice to the audience: Visitors will act as a jury, too, and vote for their favorite choir that will then be awarded the popular Audience Prize at the Awards Ceremony.
