Chinese Spring Festival in Berlin

Chinese choirs sing for the New Year in China

Grand Prix of Nations

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, one of the most important holidays in China, three choirs from Shenzhen, Gui Yang and Bejing traveled to the German capital Berlin to sing there at the "Fest der Chorkulturen" and the Grand Prix of Nations.

On Wednesday evening, the "The Skyline Choir of Shenzhen Meilin High School" presented a wonderful concert program at the Opening Concert of the choral festival. Together with the Berlin Radio Choir and five other international choirs, they were part of the world premiere of the hymn "Proclamation" by Ēriks Ešenvalds.

In the first competitions and Friendship Concerts both the "Beijing Guangqumen Middle School Starlight Chorus" and the "Guiyang No.3 Experimental High School Student Choir" were also cheered by the audience. In addition to demanding choral literature, they also presented songs from their homeland China. A wonderful gift for the Chinese Spring Festival!
