Choir Games

INTERKULTUR is pleased to introduce some choirs, which will attend the biggest choral event worldwide: The World Choir Games in Sochi 2016.

From their beginnings, the World Choir Games are the point of attraction for choirs from all over the world. We are pleased to welcome the diversity of choral music in Sochi next year. On this occasion we wish to thank all attendees – without them, the games would not shine in its full splendor again and again. Therefore we like to regularly introduce and thereby warmly welcome these choirs, which are already registered for the World Choir Games 2016.

The first choir, which we will introduce, comes from the great host country, Russia. The choir captivates his audience with singing in more than 13 different languages!

"The Collegiate a Cappella Choir "Musica Linguae" was founded at the Moscow State Linguistic University in 2000. Most of our singers study foreign languages are at the different departments of the University. Although amateurs, we gladly deal with rather complex and interesting pieces of music which we perform with due professional manner. However, what makes us special is our singing in more than 13 different languages – from Chinese to Portuguese. The choir regularly takes part in formal and festive events of our University as well as concerts in Moscow, together with musical contests and festivals outside our region and abroad, including World Choir Games."

The choir is delighted that the biggest choral event will take place in their home country for the first time. So they like to spend their time in two parts of the event: they wish to compete in three competition categories as well as attend in the Great Celebration Concert on July 10, 2016 to sing with hundreds of singers from all over the world.

We are happy to welcome the singers of Collegiate a Cappella Choir "Musica Linguae" in Sochi next year!
