Countdown to Riga 2017

Early Bird Registration for Grand Prix of Nations & 3rd European Choir Games is approaching

European Choir Games 2017

Monday, October 17 is the last day for choirs to benefit from the Early Bird discount when registering for the Grand Prix of Nations & 3rd European Choir Games. Some choirs have their registration already done like the groups from Israel and Latvia we have already introduced.

Another participant will be the girls from TGS Motet Choir from England. They have already participated in the European Choir Games 2015 in Magdeburg and are looking forward returning to the event for a second time with some high hopes. Here is what their conductor Adrian Pitts says about the girls’ expectations:

“In Germany in 2015 they really loved making high quality music in friendship concerts both at a local school and in the local community. In 2015 competition they got a silver diploma and are hoping to go one better and gain a gold and possibly qualify for the further final stages of the event. This year they are entering two categories and hope to work with a specialist through individual coaching.

They loved hearing choir music from all over the world from choirs of all shapes and sizes, and in some great venues. You get the opportunity to get some ideas for repertoire. They had great fun at the workshops on singing jazz and warm ups last time all led by vocal experts from around the world.

They hope to be staying in the heart of Riga so they can really take advantage of the architecture, culture and many festive events during the Games. There is a real buzz about 100 or more choirs in one place at one time that is quite unique.”

Don’t miss the chance to be part of the fun and meet TGS Motet Choir in Riga. All registration forms and participation information are available here.
