Asian Choir Champions to be elected in Sri Lanka
4th Asia Pacific Choir Games 2017 announced
The 4th Asia Pacific Choir Games have recently been announced to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It’s the first time that an INTERKULTUR choir event is going to be held in South Asia. From October 21 - 28, 2017 more than 100 choirs from Asia and the international choral world will meet in Sri Lanka’s metropolis Colombo to compete, meet, exchange and celebrate.
Thousands of participants from a host competing nations will perform in a variety of venues, turning Colombo into a hub for Asia-Pacific choral music. The invitation to this unique event goes not only to choirs from the Asia-Pacific region, but also to ensembles from all around the globe, all of whom will surely find a platform to participate.
Colombo is the largest city of Sri Lanka and a popular tourist destination. It is a busy and vibrant place with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins. Due to its multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population the city keeps ready a wide range of beautiful and highly interesting sights. Countless green spaces around the whole city, lots of parks and wonderful squares and especially the Mt. Lavinia Beach are further excellent places to relax and take a rest in Sri Lanka’s tropical climate.
