“Today is a new day”

Tomorrow it will be the best. World Choir Games start.

“Today is a new day”, that was the song the “ONE IN SONG” choir directed to the US gospel singer Kirk Franklin today.

He had gathered for a rehearsal in the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati with the mass choir in the afternoon. Franklin knew perfectly how to cheer the members of different ages: "You have great voices and I know that you all have been working hard, you are great!" he enthusiastically praised.

On Wednesday, Independence Day, the Opening Ceremony will take place at 19:00 local time. The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and May Festival Chorus are further special highlights of this evening’s schedule.

The 7th World Choir Games will be held from July 4 to 14, 2012 in Cincinnati USA. 15 000 participants from 64 nations, among them 362 choirs have registered and travel to the United States to compete in a total of 23 musical categories.

This year the World Choir Games will be held on the American continent for the first time ever.

Daily reviews can be read on the INTERKULTUR blog. For the first time, ChoirTV.com will publish daily short clips from the World Choir Games.
