Everyone can join the World Choir Games

As announced recently tickets for the World Choir Games can be acquired from spring 2012. Official sales start is March 1, 2012.

The World Choir Games take place July 4-14, 2012 in Cincinnati USA. From past experience one knows that individual items of the event as well as Celebration concerts, Award ceremonies and Champions concerts enjoy great popularity. Not only participants welcome this kind of leisure activities, but also inhabitants and tourists in the city.

The Opening ceremony on National Day, July 4, will be a special highlight for sure. The days full of choir will be opened by Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and May Festival Chorus in U.S. Bank Arena. The Closing ceremony of the World Choir Games will be here as well. Competitions in The Open Competition and The Champions Competition will be held in a total of 23 categories.

People can listen to concert at different venues. The Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Christ Church Cathedral, the Cincinnati Masonic Center, the Music Hall and the School for Creative and Performing Arts as well as Duke Energy Convention Center may play host for competitions and concerts.

Listeners will also meet at special-themed Celebration concerts of the world’s best choirs. Further concerts are so-called Champions concerts, where recently named Champions of the World Choir Games 2012 will come together for top-class performances.

The U.S. Bank Arena invites all guests and everybody interested to Award ceremonies of the competitions. Everybody will experience the emotions of the World Choir Games here, everybody will hear the results for the first time, singers will learn how they came off and each category’s Champion of the World Choir Games 2012 will come on stage.

Open Competition choirs receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Diplomas. Champions Competition choirs receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals with one choir in each category - with the highest score from the judges - being named Champion of the World Choir Games.

Since the year 2000 the World Choir Games have been held on different continents.
In July 2012 for the first time choirs of the world sing in the United States of America. Registration is still open until January 15, 2012.
