Special stage for the World Choir Games
Good Morning America broadcasts from Ohio
On July 9 ABC Good Morning America will broadcast from Fountain Square in Cincinnati, Ohio (6:00 am local time).
The American weather forecaster Ginger Zee will appear supported by two choirs and Drew Lachey who will talk about the World Choir Games.
The “Cincinnati One in Song Choir” which was already performing at the Opening Ceremony in U.S. Bank Arena on July 4 has sung in all hearts already. It will perform the official song of the 2012 World Choir Games. "I Can" is a current earworm for everyone here in Cincinnati.
The second choir performing comes from Venezuela. Rapsodia Coro de Cámara received a Gold Medal at today's Awards ceremony in the Popular Choral Music category. "We look forward to this performace which is something very special for us!" said Gustavo Gisbert, when he learned more about the details on Good Morning America. Despite the early morning hours, “the atmosphere will be great, that's for sure”, he said.
Good Morning America is the most popular news program in the United States. It is broadcasted by the ABC Network and runs every morning on weekdays with a viewership of 4.604 million.
There are 15,000 participants, including 362 choirs celebrating until 14 July at the first World Choir Games on North American soil. Daily updates can be found on the INTERKULTUR blog, Facebook page, on twitter (hashtag #2012wcg) and on www.2012worldchoirgames.com.
