New partnership in Philippines

Collaboration for the future

The radio and TV station Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) and INTERKULTUR representatives discussed a constant collaboration in the future to found a possible media partnership.

As Stefan Bohländer, INTERKULTUR Director for Finance & New Events, after his return home announced they had productive conversations with the President of MBC in Manila and would be more than happy to further support their enthusiasm for choral music.

MBC is one of the national broadcasting stations in Philippines and has established as the country’s leading producer of news and entertainment broadcasts.
With more than 200 radio stations on the whole Archipelago Manila Broadcasting Company is Asia’s largest broadcast network.

MBC has many experiences in the field of choral music, every year in December the station organizes its own “MBC National Choral Competition”. “We take December 2013 into consideration to organize an international choir competition in Manila together”, says Thomas Schüle, Director International Relations for INTERKULTUR.

During their visit last week the INTERKULTUR representatives also had conversations with the managing board of the Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA) and were able to get the association enthusiastic about becoming another partner for a collaboration regarding December 2013 and to obtain a binding agreement.
