Highlight for the competition and for the region

The Closing ceremony of the 2nd Vietnam International Choir Competition in Huế takes place on December 15, 2012. It’s also the Closing of “National Tourism Year 2012” hosted by Thua Thien-Hue Region this year.

During the “National Tourism Year 2012” there are many events taking place including performances from the fields of music and culture. True to the motto “Hue – Ancient capital city – New experiences” its highlight is the 2nd Vietnam International Choir Competition.

The Closing event in December will be the culmination of the year. A selection of participating choirs in the competition will perform at the ceremony. The 90-minute event will be broadcasted live on Vietnamese television. More than 5000 guests are expected to come to this Open Air night, among them the President of Vietnam.

Choirs from home and abroad will come to Huế for the 2nd Vietnam International Choir Competition 2012 (December 12 to 16). Following last year’s competition in Hoi An it’s the second event of its kind in the history of Vietnam. Registration is still open through August 31, please find all information here.
