I can!

Official Song of the 2012 World Choir Games unveiled

„I can“ – the Official Song of the 2012 World Choir Games“ was released today and can be heard online on the event’s Facebook page, on www.2012worldchoirgames.com and here.

As reported earlier this month the song was composed by nine-time Grammy winner and Gospel star Kirk Franklin who will perform “I Can” at the July 4 Opening Ceremony of the World Choir Games (WCG) at U.S. Bank Arena. The track released today is by the “I Can Singers” under the Procter & Gamble Productions label.

When it is performed at the Opening Ceremony – six weeks from today – the song will include a special verse with a reference to Cincinnati. Franklin will perform with members of registered choirs competing in the “Gospel” category. The American singers are already delighted about this great opportunity.

“This Opening event and the song will carry everyone along and I’m sure we’re going to sing it together,” said INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch after the song’s presentation on a local radio station.

The Opening of the 7th World Choir Games is taking place on U.S. Independence Day. It’s the first time the WCG will be held on the American continent. From July 4 through 14, 2012 choirs of the world will musically inspire the city of Cincinnati.
