Having a look at the venues
From “Aronoff” to “U.S. Bank Arena”
The list of venues for the 2012 World Choir Games (WCG) is available online. During the 7th WCG in Cincinnati USA choirs and spectators will be moving between Aronoff Center and U.S. Bank Arena, from Christ Church Cathedral to School for Creative and Performing Arts and from Masonic Center to Music Hall.
As announced in the past and confirmed by the project manager, a high number of diversified and very special venues have been chosen. “We already can imagine how each hall fills with people and what kind of atmosphere will be felt in July!”, says Jelena Dannhauer, INTERKULTUR project manager. She’s currently in the host city Cincinnati and reports on that in her own blog, which has been launched recently (see here).
All venues are in walking distance for every choir and thus provide many opportunities and situations of meetings among themselves. Meetings of choirs will also occupy INTERKULTUR representatives in Cincinnati for the next days. Before their departure many discussions about the course of the event, about Friendship Concerts, medals and trophies will be held.
In 2012 the World Choir Games will be held on the American continent for the first time. The Opening ceremony is on July 4, 2012 in U.S. Bank Arena. Cincinnati is the first city in the United States to host the World Choir Games.
Those who have not yet registered have still some days left to submit their documents before the registration deadline ends (January 15, 2012).
