First adjudicators for Cincinnati
Familiar and new faces at the WCG
The first adjudicators for the 7th World Choir Games in Cincinnati USA have been announced and were published on the INTERKULTUR website.
Jurors from all over the world will be evaluating singers at the 2012 World Choir Games.
Five-person panels of adjudicators will judge The Open Competition, and seven-member panels will judge The Champions Competition. The adjudicators determine the score of each choir’s performance, as well as provide feedback as requested by directors.
So far, adjudicators from Australia, Canada, Estonia, Greece or Switzerland and, of course, from the host country USA are represented. “We are delighted that we are able to welcome friends but also several new faces next year in Cincinnati,” says project manager Jelena Dannhauer.
From the U.S. there will be adjudicators such as Kirby Shaw or Rosephanye Dunn Powell. Both are well-known choral conductors and composers with tremendous reputations outside of the United States.
Dunn Powell is one of the first female choral music composers in the USA.
Up to July 2012 judges from further countries will confirm their participation and be published on the event website including a photo and a short biography.
The 2012 World Choir Games in Cincinnati will take place July 4-14, 2012. Registration deadline for the 7th World Choir Games has been extended until January 15, 2012. Please find information on the adjudicators and the new registration deadline on our website.
