Competitions for everyone

Guangzhou piques curiosity

Choir-related people of most different backgrounds are interested in INTERKULTUR competitions. Currently they learn more at chor.com in Dortmund, Germany. The concept of the new INTERKULTUR competition in China, the 1st Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships, where all choirs are welcome, is highly praised.

The 1st Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships is divided into Guangzhou International Open Competition and the Xinghai Prize International Choir Competition.

The Guangzhou International Open Competition is open to any kind of amateur choirs, who want to get a taste of an international choral competition. Regardless the artistic level and competition experience everyone is welcome. Many choir directors like this principle, as it opens new possibilities for participation.

The Xinghai Prize International Choir Competition is the highly-ranked competition for the Xinghai Prize – designed for those choirs who have already experienced international concerts and competitions. Some of the best amateur choirs will meet here. At chor.com the renowned ensemble “Sonic Suite” has been interested in this competition. We’re excited to learn who of them we will hear and see in November 2012. More information about the event can be found here.

The event in Guangzhou is INTERKULTUR’s third international choral event in China. Following the World Choir games (WCG) in Xiamen in 2006, the 6th WCG were held in Shaoxing in July 2010.
