Casting of the World Choir Games Peace Bell

That’s how the 7th WCG will sound

Starting at ca 2:50 p.m. (local Cincinnati time) on Tuesday everyone could be on hand via internet live streaming: at The Verdin Company in Cincinnati for the casting of the bell of this year’s World Choir Games (WCG).

The traditional company Verdin, located in the host city of Cincinnati, Ohio designed the bell for the 2012 WCG. Since 2000, the year of the first-ever WCG, the so-called Peace Bell is one of the symbols of this famous event.

Four sights of the host city of Cincinnati and, of course, the logos of the event are pictured on it. The bell will weigh 1000 lbs. and be 37 inches in diameter and will ring with the musical note "A". This tone will be sounding for the Opening and the Closing of the 7th World Choir Games.

The World Choir Games will be held from July 4 to 14, 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio. More than 360 choirs from almost 50 nations have already registered.
