Structure

The basic courses are …

  • Studies of repertoire and style – learning through singing, reading and listening
  • Choir methodology – learning how to rehearse and educate the singers
  • Conducting classes – learning through active conducting 

Specialized courses in subjects like baroque music, jazz, children’s choir methods, male choir will be arranged at a later stage and will lead to special diplomas.

Each course consists of a study period of one week. After each course, the participants get a certificate indicating the content and level of studies. In order to get a diploma the participants should take part in three courses within a period of two years.

This structure applies to both kinds of education, elementary and postgraduate, which means:

B (elementary level 1)
three courses B1, B2, Dipl (Conductors Diploma course)

A (postgraduate level 1)
three courses A1, A2, Master (Master Diploma course)

Possible study periods:

a. immediately after the Chinese new year b. mid-autumn.
