Sing’n’Joy Vienna 2012

New name, new date, familiar surroundings

Sing’n’Joy Vienna 2012 1st Choir Festival & 28th International Franz Schubert Choir Competition introduces itself.
Unlike pre-Christmas November as before INTERKULTUR is now organizing this popular competition in June, for the first time along with a choir festival.

Singers in more than 35 registered choirs from 19 nations will create a good atmosphere. A very special highlight will be the Coronation Mass by W.A. Mozart performed by several participants in a project choir. They will be accompanied by the orchestra of Vienna Music School, conducted by Gábor Hollerung, INTERKULTUR Artistic Director.

“Many voices should have to sound appropriately,” says Hollerung. “For the first time ever we were able to move the Grand Prize Competition from Mozartsaal to Großer Saal in Vienna Concert Hall. The outstanding acoustics of this hall will make the Closing concert to be a great musical pleasure.” World famous orchestras, internationally famous soloists, renowned conductors and legendary jazz musicians have always been coming on stage of the Großer Saal.

Sing’n’Joy Vienna 2012 – 1st Choir Festival and 28th Franz Schubert Choir Competition is taking place from June 13 to 17, 2012 in Vienna, Austria. Find more information here.
