Mascot is waiting for choirs

During a preparation meeting for the 1st Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships on April 23 the Guangzhou Committee presented the Mascot “LeLe” to INTERKULTUR China representatives. The Chinese word “LeLe” means the corresponding word “joy” in English, which is guaranteed during the meeting of the world’s choirs and music at the choir competition in Guangzhou from November 8 to 14. Gan Xin, Minister of Municipal Publicity Department was among the listeners.

INTERKULTUR Project manager Hu Tingting announced the official status of registrations during the meeting. “We’re delighted that already more than 50 choirs from 20 international countries have registered; and that number grows daily.”
Also Lu Zhi Qiang, Director of Municipal Culture, Radio, Press and Publication Bureau was pleased and agreed with the organizer INTERKULTUR.

Gan Xin emphasized the significance of the international choir competition for the city of Guangzhou and asked for further support with regard to this event highlight. Representatives of Xinghai Music Academy and the city of Pan Yun showed willingness to cooperate with the event’s organization.

The 1st Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships are from November 8 to 14, 2012 in Guangzhou, China. Interested choirs can still register through June 1, 2012. Please find more information here.
