Workshops and concerts with VOCES8 at Helsingborgs Körfestival
Helsingborgs Körfestival in 2004 was one of the most remarkable international choir competitions ever organized in Sweden. 14 years after this fantastic experience with more than 60 participating choirs, we are starting a new edition of this event with a special apperance: Eight great Brits are coming from May 09-13, 2018 to Sweden to join the festival. The multiple-award-winning ensemble VOCES8 will be present every day at the choral festival with both performances and workshops. The ensemble will kick off at the Opening Concert at the Helsingborg Arena on May 09, 2018.
The following day their professional sounds can be heard during a concert at Helsingborg’s oldest church Maria Kyrkan. On May 11, 2018 Voces8 invite participants and fans alike to a Jazz and Pop performance at Helsingborgs Konserthus.
But the eight singers are not only dedicated to make music themselves - they are also passionate about music education. Therefore they are set to inspire young and adult singers on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in different workshops through fun activities. Based on rhythm and melody the separate workshop groups will be involved in joint tutorials designed to enhance their musical performance.
VOCES8 will appear a last time on stage during the Closing Concert on May 12, 2018 with a presentation with workshop participants and their own program as well.
