Artistic Director appointed for the event in 2010

An INTERKULTUR delegation consisting of project manager Jelena Dannhauer and the artistic director Christian Ljunggren experienced during their visit in St. Louis the anticipation for the American International Choral Festival - St. Louis 2010. The appointment of a local artistic director represents another step for the preparation of the event.  

Dr. John A. Romeri, since 1992 musical director at the Cathedral Basilica St. Louis, could be won over for this task. This was being announced during an information evening at the Regional Arts Commission (RAC) on 22nd September 2009, in which local ACDA members as well as the ACDA’s managing director, Dr. Tim Sharp, participated. On this occasion Dr. Romeri had the opportunity to introduce himself and next to INTERKULTUR he affirmed his commitment for the venue and the event itself.

INTERKULTUR is looking forward to draw upon many years of experience in St. Louis. With the help of Dr. Romeri it will be easy for the participating singers and the visitors being expected to match St. Louis’ motto during the event: All within reach! For this was the main aspect for which the venues for competition, gala and friendship concerts were chosen.
