Pedagogical offers in Cincinnati
INTERKULTUR Workshops
The detailed schedule of workshops being held during the 7th World Choir Games (WCG) in Cincinnati (July 4 to 14, 2012) is now available. Workshops will be held for everybody interested during a total of 9 days.
The first part of the workshop series will happen from July 5 to 7, 2012 and will be opened by Marshall White (USA) who’s the first lecturer. He will speak about the topic “Giving Under-Appreciated Musical Art Forms an Educational Platform”. White is CEO and founder of the Unity Performing Arts Foundation, Inc., and Director of the Voices of Unity Youth Choir.
On the same day Jürgen Faßbender (Germany) will be following. He gives a look inside Romantic music and its poems using the example of “Waldesnacht” by Johannes Brahms. Further workshops will be held by lecturers from Argentina, Philippines and Canada, amongst others.
The second part of the workshop series will be from July 8 to 13, 2012, partially in collaboration with ACDA Choral Academy & Kentucky ACDA.
“We’re really happy to offer so many different topics for everybody interested during those days,” says Jelena Dannhauer, project manager of the 2012 WCG.
For decades INTERKULTUR has been providing the opportunity to its participants to receive individual coachings and further education during choir competitions and festivals. “In Cincinnati some lecturers will be there for the very first time and they will inspire the audience for sure!” Dannhauer emphasizes.
