Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival

Norrlands Nations Kammarkör is the winner of the Anton Bruckner Choir Prize 2019, congratulations! After a high-level Grand Prize Competition in the Brucknerhaus on Saturday evening the jury decided to award the singers from Sweden with the overall win for their outstanding skills.

The Grand Prize Competition was the final competition of the best choirs, selected by the jurors and based on their achievement in the various competition categories. Each of the finalists performed two pieces a cappella that had not been sung in the competition before.

The highest score in the competition was achieved by Kamarikuoro Värinä from Finland with 27,13 Points achieved in the Chamber Choir and Vocal Ensembles of mixed voices category.

The Isamilo Children's Choir from Tansania, who competed in the newly established category "Indigenous Traditional Music" achieved 24,58 in this genre.
