World Choir Games 2018

Being still overwhelmed by emotions, joy and cheers at the closing day of the World Choir Games 2016 choirs of the world are already looking forward to meeting again in 2018 for the 10th anniversary edition of the World Choir Games 2018. In two years they will bring the World Choir Games' power and magic to the land of choirs and singing: South Africa.

During the closing ceremony Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov and INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch handed over the flag of the World Choir Games to Lindiwe Kwele, Deputy City Manager at City of Tshwane. It will be cherished in South Africa and proudly raised up again at the 2018 Opening Ceremony.

The city of Tshwane was excellently showcased during the World Choir Games 2016 and presented itself a city with a rich tradition of choral music. "It is also a dynamic and cosmopolitan meeting place, where cultures meet and take time to share. It is a city that reflects the essence of South Africa." it is said in an official message by the South African government.
