The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) has been fostering educational and cultural activities connecting choral communities and traditions from all countries for 50 years now. INTERKULTUR is proud to have entered into a partnership with the largest association of choral directors in the world, gathering 20,000 members in the United States, Canada and abroad.

INTERKULTUR brings three events to the United States within the next three years. ACDA helps us bringing these events to the choirs. With their cooperation INTERKULTUR and ACDA want to spark and boost the interest of choirs from the USA and the rest of the world in festivals on the American continent.

Furthermore, this cooperation has an intercultural aspect: Ensembles within the USA shall be encouraged to open up for styles and developments coming from the international choir community. The upcoming events and encounters in the USA as well as travels to festivals and competitions to other parts of the world are ideally suited for this purpose.
