Goodbye 2011

Holiday greetings

A look back

The year 2011 draws to a close and many things have happened in this INTERKULTUR year of events. Also this year INTERKULTUR was able to go beyond borders and built new bridges between people, on places where nobody believed it was possible.

The year of events started with the first-ever international choir competition in the history of Vietnam. Choirs from various regions participated and the state television broadcasted the opening, so that almost every inhabitant of the country could take part in it.

For the first time we had the World Choir Championships for Youth and Young Adults in Graz, Austria – a place of past activities. Graz, former capital of culture, was host city of the 5th World Choir Games in 2008. In July 2011 many people remembered this and made halls and resound through choral music.

The INTERKULTUR team and President Günter Titsch thank all participants, jurors, guests, officials and visitors, almost 20 000 people from all parts of the world, for the great time we had during our 2011 events. “We hope you enjoyed it just like we did!” says Titsch. “I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon at the next peaceful celebrations of choral music.”

Now, at the end of the year, INTERKULTUR wishes you peace, good health and happiness for 2012!

INTERKULTUR wishes a Happy New Year!
