Zimfira Poloz, Canada

first became known in the choral world through her work in her home country Kazakhstan, where she founded her country’s first Choir School, a school with 35 teachers and 450 children. The school choir, Koktem, attained top international choral status. When moving to Canada she first was assistant conductor in the Toronto Children’s Chorus. She then became the leader of the Hamilton Children’s Choir with which she has toured the world. Mrs Poloz is very asked for as clinician around the world and recently lectured in the INTERKULTUR seminar week in Guangzhou.
