The Kammersäle Graz, located in an easily accessible part of the city, have been a popular venue for generations of gregarious Austrians and foreign visitors. The friendly and intimate atmosphere and functional design of this venue combine to make it an ideal place for events that encourage as many people as possible to view art and culture as a meaningful aspect of life. Events range from conferences, exhibitions, seminars and information evenings through fashion shows, readings and slide shows, to concerts, balls and cabarets. There is a wide choice of function rooms: the main hall (Großer Saal) of the Arbeiterkammer (364 m²), along with the connecting hall (Verbindungsraum) (46 m²) and the small hall (Kleiner Saal) (162 m²) can be combined to create a single venue. On the first floor of the building is another hall, the Wandelhalle (154 m²), on the same level as the balcony, which can also be used for various purposes – maximum capacity is 1,300 visitors for balls and 900 for concerts, whereby concert seating is divided up into the stalls (438), the connecting room (84), the balcony (121) and the gallery (257), making a total of 900. The stage covers an area of approximately 90 m² with an adjacent piano room, lift, 4 dressing rooms for artistes and the air conditioning control centre.
