In the framework of the 1st European Choir Games INTERKULTUR offers the possibility as well for competition participants as for choirs which do not take part at the competition to join a festival. The Festival accompanies the „International Interreligious Conference 2013“ It is open to choirs from all religions and beliefs from all around the world wishing to express the togetherness of beliefs and cultures through singing.

Friendship ConcertsChoirs from the entire world will present their music at concerts together with other choirs.

Gala Concerts
The artistic committee selects certain choirs which represent a high artistic standard to take part in Gala Concerts of the European Choir Games or at the other central events.
Furthermore the choirs have the possibility to attend the main events of the European Choir Games.

Festival Choir Project and Concert
The highlight of the festival will be the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem by the massed international choir of festival participants. The project will be lead by Gábor Hollerung and accompanied by the Dohnányi Orchestra from Budapest. All the choirs are warmly invited to join the Festival Choir. However participation will be confirmed by the artistic committee to ensure the balance of voices within the choir.
